32 amazing weeks of baby baking

Today marks 32 weeks, 1 day and I sit here wondering where the time has gone! From the beginning of this journey, there has always been something to focus on, look forward to....kind of like a check point to keep my attention in the moment rather than the finish line.

While I was at OMSI when I was around 28 weeks along, I remember looking at the exhibit of the size that babies were at tat moment and how bog they would be at 32 weeks and I didn't think it was possible for two 32 weekers to fit in my belly. But here we are and they have made their room and spared me any stretch marks thus far. I do have to say that I have found an amazing cream called Mama Mio - The The Tummy Rub Butter and Mama Mio - The Tummy Rub Oil. The cream is very think and after reading reviews, I decided to mix the cream and the oil to rub on my belly, thighs, booty and the ladies to help with elasticity and hopfully avoid stretch marks....fingers crossed!! :) So far, it working great and I love the way my skin feels. I also picked up an amazing lotion for my legs and feet that leaves them feeling light, cool and refreshed from feeling tight and puffy. It is called Mama Mio - Lucky Legs.

I get asked on a daily basis how I am feeling, or "Any day now, right?" I even had a gal at the gym say that she could tell that I was pregnant with twins before I even had a chance to tell her. I asked her how she could tell and she said because my belly is so "round." I am so thankful to be able to say that I am having a wonderful, healthy pregnancy. I feel wonderful and really do not have any complaints. I am sleeping great at night, a lot more comfortable than I was with my own singleton pregnancies and had I known what a true "healthy pregnancy" felt like, I would have focused on taking care of myself better. In the beginning of this journey, I was told that with a twin pregnancy that I would likely have to stop working out in the first trimester and wouldn't have the energy to continue throughout the pregnancy. I am so grateful that I have a provider that is supportive of my chosen activity level and allows me to continue with lifting weights and doing cardio 4-5 days a week as long as I am listening to my body. I am one happy and healthy baby baker!

This week I will start the first of my weekly Non-Stress testing (NST). I will go in and have them check the fluid levels in each of the placentas, monitor the babies heart beats and monitor my contractions. I will also see m doctor at each of these visits. At my last appointment with my doctor, I was measuring 38cm (or 38 weeks if I was carrying one baby) and each of them were around 3.5lbs. They are in the 70th-80th percentile for their length and weight. On Tuesday, I will have another ultrasound along with the NST and we will see how much they have grown. They are not smaller by any means just because there are two in there.....above average in size :)

Over the weekend, I was able to pick up car seats from a friend whose twins had gotten too long for them. They are in great condition and now Shahar and Roi are able to check something off their list for when they get here. I think it is safe to say that Shahar is more than happy with their first purchase!

They will buy most of the things they will need for the babies while they are here in the states where it is much more affordable than if they were to purchase it in Israel.

Travel arrangements have been made for Shahar, Roi and Bar. I cant stop thinking about what it will be like to have them here and to say I am excited is a huge under statement. I know they have been waiting for this moment for over 4 years and to be able to be a part of their Journey to Happiness, has been such a joy and an incredible blessing for both of our families.
